WELL...I've been sick since the 2nd week of February, and it turned into a severe case of pneumonia really quickly. In that time I did absolutely nothing except obsess about the situation and hope that the breakdown would stop soon. Then, once it did, and healing started, I was able to draw. That's pretty much all I have the energy for right now, but a sketchbook and pen are pretty much all I need anyway!
Illness makes me so self obsessed. The Dalai Lama has a meditation called Giving and Receiving. You visualize yourself standing next to a group of people who are experiencing the same pain and suffering situation you are in and you ask yourself who is more important - me or the whole? If possible then, as you breathe in you take in and receive their pain, to relieve the group of all of their suffering, and as you exhale you give them peace.
Thinking about meditating on that makes me feel better already!
